Library renovation

As you may have heard already, our library will be very thoroughly converted to include parts of the collection of K.U.Brussel (HUB, campus Koekelberg) . It mainly concerns their Language & Literature collection. Our Business Economics collection moves to the Stormstraat campus.This conversion will start on July 1, 2008 and should be ready by the start of the new academic year 2008-2009. From Sept. 8, the new furniture will be put in place and the Applied Linguistics collection (VLEKHO) is restored and integrated with the Language & Literature collection (K.U.Brussel). We will bring you up to date about the exact date of re-opening of the library.

This means that the library rooms (PCs, shelves, furniture) will have to be completely vacated by June 30. Because the Business Economics collection has to be selected out and packed to be transferred to campus Stormstraat, the library will be closed from May 31.

Loans, renewals and reservations will not be possible after Friday, May 16, 2008.

The library team wish to apologise in advance for any inconvenience this may entail.

Study in the library during exam periods ?

Many students make use of the library during the examination period to study just before an exam. Because of the closure of the library due to construction works this will obviously no longer be possible as from May 31 onwards. Room 050 on the ground floor will be rearranged as a study room, both during the June and September exam periods.
